Mon Laferte plays London for the first time. Born in Chile and based in Mexico, she is one of the most dynamic artists in the Latin American continent. Since the release of her album Mon Laferte Vol. 1 in 2015 she has been unstoppable. Moving fluidly between genres – boleros, rock, soul and Latin pop – she draws from the past and adds a contemporary edge.

Last year Mon’s single Amárrame won Best Alternative Song at the Latin Grammys, where she was also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Record of the Year.  Amárrame combines Mon’s punk-styling with retro Chicha guitars, Andean flute and a killer bass line.

Last year Mon released La Trenza – featuring collaborations with Juanes, Manuel Garcia and Bunbury – and headlined Latin American Festivals from Viña del Mar to Vive Latino.  She also collaborated with singer songwriter Jorge Drexler on the track Asilo.

‘Enter Mon Laferte’s indie-pop enigma: a heady, rockabilly-inspired blend that nods to Ritchie Valens’ love songs, classic boleros that match hearts with great Latin American folklorists, and a splash of jazzy cool.’ Rolling Stone
