If you caught the Argentine Alaskan troubadour Kevin Johansen in either of his spellbinding support slots for Seu Jorge and Lila Downs at the Barbican then you probably thought – what this guy really needs is a mouth-accordion playing newspaper cartoonist with an overhead projector to keep him company on stage. Well all of our prayers have been answered, Kevin’s back and this time he’s got quickdraw Buenos Aires draughtsman Liniers alongside him. Liniers created the beautiful artwork for Kevin’s recent albums and together they have published Oops! A book of their collaboration but it’s onstage that Kevin’s beautiful songs find the perfect frame in Liniers art.
