95A Rye Lane
A one day festival of all things ‘frontera’ for Cinco de Mayo: A festivity that has become an important date throughout the USA, and the world at which to celebrate Mexican culture.
Artists and performers take over the amazing Peckham Levels with installations, photography, live music & DJs, film, talks, family fun and of course Mexican food, cocktails, tequila & mezcal.
Breaking down borders, the festival will honour the melting pot of Mexican and USA culture that is a vibrant part of so many people’s daily life: its music, its flavours, its worries.
With live music from Orkesta Mendoza, from Tucson, Arizona that marries MEX-US culture with their own style ‘inde mambo’ mixing ranchera, cumbia, psychedelia and indie rock. More artists and DJs to be announced.
Presented with Movimientos & Axolotl. Curated by Mexican Londoner Paola Feregrino and Movimientos head honcho Callum Simpson.
The Cinco de Mayo festival is sponsored by Jimador & Herradura Tequila, Tequila and Mezcal Fest with the support of the Mexican Embassy & Consulate.
