Eight years since bringing together Jocelyn Brown, Roy Ayers, Eddie Palmieri and Tito Puente and creating the link between Dance and Latin, Louie returns with his most ambitious musical venture yet. Elements of Life develops the themes laid down in Nuyorican Soul and continues Vega’s mission to break down musical boundaries; exploring, dissecting and fusing bossa nova, samba, jazz, salsa and Afro-groove. Tonight’s show features DJ sets by Kiss FM’s Patrick Forge, special guest appearance by Barcelona’s Ojos de Brujo Sound System and a set by Venezuelan master percussionist and Elements of Lifer Luisito Quintero and in Louie Vega’s Elements of Life an outstanding line-up of guest vocalists and major musicians from all sides of the tracks.
