Los Fabulosos Cadillacs are Argentina’s most uplifting musical export.

Formed in 1985, they are arguably the most significant band to emerge from the Latin rock world in the last 30 years. Their irreverent and humorous mix of rock, ska, jazz, folk, reggae, funk and big band brass often contain political undertones and have become terrace anthems in Buenos Aires.

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs have recorded collaborations with international artists such as Mick Jones (The Clash), who played on their breakout hit Matador,  and Debbie Harry (Blondie).

The band returned to the live stage last year, after a two year break, to present the world tour of La Salvación de Solo y Juan featuring the single La música salvará al mundo  (Music will save the world) – the band received two awards in last November’s Latin Grammys in the Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song categories. More than 500,000 fans have already seen the La Salvación de Solo y Juan tour in Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica and Ecuador, Colombia, Peru and the US.

“A working-class stew of salsa, Brazilian batucada, thrash metal and morbid tango, anchored on Afro-Caribbean percussion and a punchy brass section.” Rolling Stone

“Relentless experimentation and joyful mayhem.” Rolling Stone

The uncategorisable Argentinian Boom Boom Kid comes with hardcore influences of rock and roll, pop, punk, cha cha cha, rockabilly, psychobilly and salsa.

DJ Scratchy spins rhythm’n’blues, gypsy, ska, rockabilly, Latin & beyond.
