“ Diego has on of the most beautiful flamenco voices of our time, a voice of sweetness that flows over into everything he sings. When I listen to him, it warms my heart.” Paco de Lucia

Diego El Cigala returns to London with a special intimate live show to launch his new record Dos Lágrimas (Two Tears) the sequel to the multi-award winning collaboration with Bebo Valdes Lágrimas Negras.

In the Dos Lágrimas show,  Diego again visits the great Cuban songbook backed by an inspired band of piano, bass, guitar and percussion. This time he brings the six years of experience since Lágrimas Negras to bear on his interpretations. The sound is a wonderful bridge between Cuban son and flamenco.

“I travelled to Havana for the first time in 2003… That’s when I discovered the Cuban people, when I realised they had a great deal in common with the gypsies, in their way of life, the way they feel things, with problems coming at them from all sides. Music is their charm, and their purest form of expression.” Diego El Cigala

 Band:

Diego El Morao – guitar

Jumitus – piano

Sabu Porrina – percussion

Yelsy Heredia – bass
