Carlos Acosta is arguably the finest dancer of his generation. Born and raised in Havana he is currently Guest Principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet. Como No has produced his shows since 2003.
Currently we are programming international tours for Carlos’s show On Before. The performance features choreography by some of the world’s leading dance makers: Russell Maliphant, Kim Brandstrup, Will Tuckett, Edwaard Liang, Yuri Yanowsky and Miguel Altunaga in framework created by Carlos.
Como No produced Carlos’s semi-autobiographical work Tocororo in Havana in 2003 and presented it with Sadler’s Wells in London the same year breaking all box office records at the venue. We subsequently toured that show internationally.
In 2007 Carlos Acosta won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance for his performances at Sadler’s Wells produced by Como No.
Como No produced Carlos Acosta’s seasons at The Coliseum in London from 2009-11 and on tour.
